GIVE US YOUR BEST SHOT
Does this year's foliage take your breath away? Well we hope you have a picture of it so we can see it too. Send us your best digital photo of nature's colors taken in Maine this year to photos@mainetoday.com. Remember these points:
  • Size: If the photo is horizontal, keep the width less than 700 pixels (almost 7 inches). Vertical photos should be no wider than 300 pixels (4 inches).
  • Resolution: Keep it at 72 dpi.
  • Who are you? Please tell us your name and where you are from. If the photographer is different, please let us know.
  • Where were you? We need to know where in Maine you took the photo. Route numbers and proximity to a town are very helpful. Also try to identify any features such as mountains or bodies of water.
  • When was this taken? Be sure to give us a time element. Exact dates aren't necessary but let us know what part of the month you took the photo.
  • Anything special? Don't be afraid to add details such as any extra effort needed to capture the image. Or tell us why you liked that scene so much.
